GI Pipes Manufacturers in India
Low carbon steel coils and mild steel strips are used to make galvanised iron (GI) pipes. To give the strips a circular shape, a succession of fin rolls are used. The strips' cut ends are then continuously exposed to a high frequency electric current, which welds the edges together. The sizing sections are where any dimensional irregularities are addressed once the welded steel pipes have been passed through. The pipes are then automatically chopped with cutting equipment to the desired lengths. The tubes are then randomly pressure tested for leaks. Pipes are varnished and galvanised in accordance with precise specifications.
